Mauricio Lorca Block One Syrah

This Block One Syrah is from Mauricio Lorca’s vineyards at Vista Flores, Valle de Uco, regarded as the best area in all Argentina for growing high quality grapes.

As with the Block One Malbec the grapes for this Syrah were handpicked into small trays, the best grapes were selected where 90% were fermented then aged in French oak and 10% in American oak. The resulting wine is fantastic and is presented in an impressive heavyweight bottle.

Pale ruby in colour suggesting this is a lighter wine than the others in the Block One range. Soft and supple on the palate with red and black fruit flavours nicely cut by good natural acidity. Reminiscent of good northern Rhone, this is excellent in an elegant style.
