Important information if you are sensitive to Sulphites
Most Rose wines contain comparatively high levels of sulphites. For this reason, we don’t list much Rose wine as it’s difficult to find ones with low sulphite content. So we have only a small selection of sulphite free, organic and low sulphite roses available.
This organic Rosado de Fermin is a fantastic new organic Rose wine for us.
Elegant, fresh with gentle acidity and lovely flavours. It has become very popular with our regulars and we are very fortunate that we were recently able to get some more as we got the very last stock the winery had left.
It’s difficult to find good quality low sulphite Rose wines and this one is a cracker!

Cava No11 Rosado Organic Brut Dominio de la Vega
This is a fantastic organic Rose Cava. Lovely strawberry flavours with a hint of sweetness, fine mousse then a nice dry finish.
Again nicely integrated natural acidity so none of that “burn” synonymous with cheap factory produced cavas! It is delicious and I expect it to be a big hit.

Domaine Mayrac have improved on their No SO2 Rose with this Esprit Natur Rose. Still sulphite free and fully organic of course, but this wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc as opposed to Cinsault in their No SO2 wine.
It’s fruity and fresh with a bit more mouthfeel and a longer finish…

Good fruit upfront, strawberry and cherry, with decent body and mouthfeel. A little citrus comes through on the clean, crisp finish.
This is very nice wine! Don’t be put off by the poor photo or the screwcap, the 2022 we have in stock is actually in a Bordeaux shaped bottle and the label (drawn by Boris’s young daughter Amelie) looks much better in person!
This is a great option for the roasting hot summer weather.

Santa Margherita Chiaretto Stilrose is a superb rose for the discerning wine drinker. Pale salmon pink in colour, full and round in the mouth with complex concentrated flavours. Gentle acidity cleanses the palate on the long finish. This wine is the Italian equivalent to good Cotes de Provence, although this is comparatively low in sulphites too (which is very difficult to find in France). This is the Italian “Whispering Angel”.

The Tampesta Golan Rose differs from their standard Rose as it is 100% Prieto Picudo (as opposed to having some Tempranillo) and is has been aged on the lees and in wood for a few months to give a fuller body and more complexity. It is lovely!
