Franciacorta Ca del Bosco Prestige Cuvee Brut DOCG

Franciacorta Ca del Bosco Prestige Cuvee Brut is one of Italy's greatest sparkling wines and is quite spectacular. Consisting of 75% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Bianco and 15% Pinot Nero, all vinified separately. These wines were then aged for 8 months in tank then blended together along with reserve wines from the cellar - the same process as in Champagne where different reserve vintages are back blended to achieve the required quality and style. The wine is then further bottle aged prior to release. It's pale gold in colour. On the palate there is a delightful fizz as the wine almost evaporates on the tongue, with a very fine mousse. Delicious flavours of peaches and biscuits. Supremely balanced with fantastic length. I can't praise this wine enough - it is well worth splashing out on a bottle. Presentation is fantastic too with the dumpy bottle (each bottle comes wrapped in gold celaphane)..
